MARINER’S COVE CONDO ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING

CALL TO ORDER:  9:00 AM

 

Call to order by President Carol Hassebrock. 

 

GREET GUESTS:    None.

 

CORRESPONDENCE:        None.

 

MINUTES:     Motion to accept by Chris.  2nd  by Wayne.  Approved.

 

FINANCIAL REPORT:        Motion to accept by Chris. 2nd  by Kim. Approved.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

Grounds:        None.

 

            Maintenance: Wayne gave the following update:

 

-        Bids have not been received yet for tree trimming.

 

-        Carbon monoxide detectors have been installed in most units.

Carol will send out a letter to all owners to advise they are responsible for the repair, maintenance and/or replacement of the monitors.

 

-        Some windows have been replaced. 

 

-        Dan D will begin replacing flashing and rotten wood with Hardiplank as required.  Estimated cost: $5859.00 

 

-        2 bids have been received for resurfacing the parking lot.  Project includes pressure washing, removing roots, filling cracks, resurfacing and line painting.

o   Kamps - $22,811.60

o   Huizenga Enterprises - $15,211.06

Motion by Chris to make recommendation to owners at the Annual General Meeting to go ahead with project using Huizenga Enterprises as they have done numerous local properties and will included pressure washing the back wall.  This project will require a one-time assessment of $300.00 per unit. 

2nd by Wayne.  Approved.

 

Pool:  Carol received an email from Nancy Stull advising cigarette butts and garbage left poolside.  Request to review monitors. 

Discussion of possibly fining the owners associated to the incident.

 

Jim advised he was notified of a lost pool key.  Locksmith to be contacted and have 3 extra keys made for backup.  Owner to be charged for replacement key.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Attorney: 

 

Carol and Chris have not met with  the attorney yet.

Will update at next meeting.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Meeting is to be held at CJ’s Boathouse on Tuesday February 19th to discuss the berm project.  Carol and Chris will attend.
