MINUTES:                  Accepted as presented.  All in favor

FINANCIAL REPORT:          The 2009 budged was drafted.  Deanne motioned we accept the budge.  Janet seconded.  All in favor

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

1)                  BUILDING MAINTENANCE:

The first three landings in Building II are being completed.  Due to being late in the year, the Racquet ball exterior wall is being postponed until the spring.

2)                  GROUNDS:  

Deanne presented an estimate from North Star Garden Care for the December clean up for $921.40.  Motion to hire North Star Grounds Care to do the December clean up.  Motion passed.

3)                  SALES:            none

4)                  CCRS:             postponed

5)                  RENTAL CONCERNS:          postponed

  OLD BUSINESS:

1)                  LEGAL UPDATE:

Report given by Carol on the current legal issues with regards to the landings in Building II.  A motion was made to not pursue legal matters.  All in favor.

Arlyn made a motion that we pursue the Public Utilities for recompense from the Birch Bay Water and Sewer for the December 5, 2007 flood damage.  Janet seconded.  All in favor

2)                  CLARIFICATION OF CCR DEFINITION OF “BUSINESS”:          tabled

3)                  MEMBERSHIP IN WASHINGTON STATE CONDO ASSOCIATION:

Carol stated that she did not feel we would benefit from belonging to the Association.  All in favor

4)                  POOL UPDATE AND NEEDS:

New safety rules for the pool come into effect in December.  A motion was made to make the changes by Arlyn.  Jim seconded.  All in favor

 NEW BUISNESS

1)                  UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION FOR BOARD MEMBERS:

Board discussed the new legal requirements providing an option for unemployment insurance for all Board members of Condominium Associations.  The offer was denied.  All in Favor

2)                  SECURITY OF CLUB HOUSE AND POOL:

Motion made by Arlyn to proceed with a security system for the club house and pool area.  Seconded by Janet.  All in favor

Arlyn to further investigate the options.
